About Dr. Philip J. Zair

Dr. Philip J. Zair"Truthfully, I had no idea what chiropractic was, even in college. A friend of mine was applying to chiropractic school since graduation was near. All I knew was that chiropractors "crack" backs but why were people seeking their care? Out of curiosity I went to visit a local chiropractor, and though I had no complaints at the time, I did notice that I was more focused and alert (my neck was a lot looser as well). I had learned my first valuable lesson about chiropractic that day…chiropractic is more than treating back pain, it’s something much bigger. Thus, began my everlasting journey into chiropractic and other alternative therapies."

Since his childhood, Dr. Phil always gained a tremendous feeling of joy when helping people. The experience of seeing people’s health improve was more exciting when it was done naturally. He was always curious of finding natural ways to recover from illnesses before heading to the medicine cabinet. A friend in university introduced him to chiropractic and the rest was history! Dr. Phil experienced the power of the adjustment and realized this was the profession that complemented his philosophy on health]

Dr. Phil (an avid Mets and NY Giants fan) is originally from Long Island, NY and graduated from State University of New York, Albany with a Bachelors Degree. From there he ventured to California to pursue his lifelong career at the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, graduating cum laude in 1997. Dr. Phil is certified to practice Acupuncture in Arizona and integrates his practice with his passion and training in nutrition and herbs. His gentle demeanor combined with his fun sense of humor is most admired by his patients who always leave the office smiling! His many interests include sports, reading, music, traveling and family time. His favorite time is Sunday morning breakfast with the family.

"Thanks for visiting our site and we hope to be able to meet you one day soon over a smile, a chuckle and a little inspiration towards better health!"

About Dr. Melanie Dias-Zair

Dr. Melanie Dias-Zair

During University, Dr. Melanie Dias-Zair was headed down the path towards medical school since she knew calling was to change people’s lives by helping them create health. She soon realized medicine was not compatible to her view of improving health and function, at least from a preventive standpoint. Suffering from chronic headaches since high school, she was never satisfied with the medical response to "why" she kept getting headaches. After several prescriptions and days of drowsiness and other side effects, she had enough. "My headaches were not caused by a lack of medication! I must say I do have respect for medical doctors and I am impressed with their life saving techniques in emergency situations. But as exciting as that seemed, it wasn’t my calling. Medicine seemed to treat the disease and symptoms. I always knew I wanted to contribute to a healthier world by helping people improve their health and investigate the underlying causes of their conditions. That’s when I discovered Chiropractic. A Chiropractic intern in Toronto gave me my first adjustment and was the first to explain the causes of my ongoing headaches and the relationship between the spine, the nervous system and my symptoms. He also took the time to discuss what lifestyle habits were contributing to my poor health. Finally the answer! It made perfect sense. "

Dr. Melanie Dias-Zair grew up in Toronto, Canada and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992 from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. She was always involved in fitness and performing arts and worked as a dancer/ instructor/choreographer through high school and university. This lifestyle and passion for natural health led her to Los Angeles College of Chiropractic where she graduated cum laude in 1998. Dr. Melanie also has experience and training in Ayurveda, blending this ancient tradition of self healing from India into her wellness consultations. She also has post graduate training in pediatric and perinatal care and is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. She has a passion for educating and empowering people to take responsibility for their health. She speaks to local organizations and conducts the wellness workshops in their office. Dr. Melanie (also known as Dr. D in the office) holds a special place in her heart for animals and children and mom's to be! Seeing her patients evolve from sick to well and gain control of their health is a blessing and a humbling experience for both she and her husband. She is also a member of the American Business Woman’s Association and serves on the board of directors for Theater Works in the West Valley of Phoenix, Arizona. In March, 2008 she was voted one of the top 24 "movers and shakers" of the West Valley by West Valley Magazine in Arizona. Dancing, yoga, hiking, jogging, traveling, writing and laughing at her husband's jokes are some of the many things she loves to do. And she’s just starting to figure out the game of football!

Even if you are just curious to know IF chiropractic can help you improve the quality of your life, call our office and schedule a consultation or come to a workshop. We would love the opportunity to be your guide towards better health!"
